The importance of stories

People relate to stories and remember them. They may not recall a headshot, but they will remember a chef’s visit to the farmer’s market. Or an author out for a run on the beach. More than ever, customers choose brands that they can understand and relate to, either because they’re familiar or because they’re interesting.

When I work with a client on their branding photography, I look for those stories to tell. For what makes them interesting and remarkable to their audience. We create collections of little narratives that they can use over time on social media to keep things both fresh and familiar.


how it works

Let’s talk about your story, your business and yourself.

I start the process by getting to understand you and your business. I want to know the big picture and the nitty gritty details. There are no wrong answers. Together, we identify the stories you want to tell in pictures that will engage and delight your customers.

I handle everything for the photography session. I work quickly and love to get lots of “extras,” detail shots that compliment the main story and add depth. Good social media needs lots of pictures so depending on the number of stories you need, you’ll receive between 30 and 120 photos to use for social media and anything else. In the end you will have a collection of awesome images that will last you for months and years of posting while you focus on growing your business.
